sad_child We have designed this group to enhance the self-esteem of adolescents/tweens who belong to this age group. As the group progresses, the leader will assist these adolescents/tweens in identifying and expressing difficult feelings as they cope with daily life stressors and situations. Some of these might be disappointment, frustration, anger, family changes, anxiety - as well as a variety of challenges that arise in the typical daily life of our members.

Group members will develop their social skills through social awareness as they become more aware of personal responsibility and respect for the rights of others; problem solving, mutual aid, and team work. Structured discussions and activities (i.e., worksheets, role-playing, etc.) as well as music and other creative mediums will be utilized to facilitate group discussion and mutual support.
